UM-HEART-VR Kick-off meeting

The UM-HEART-VR initiative is transforming healthcare education by using Virtual Reality (VR) to foster empathy and patient-centered care. Through immersive experiences, learners can better understand patients’ perspectives, strengthening compassion and communication skills.

A key milestone for the project was the UM-HEART-VR Kick-off Meeting held in Brussels from 17–19 March 2026, where project partners gathered to align goals, share expertise, and set the foundation for impactful collaboration.

Guided by the vision of #VRforEmpathy and #SeeWithHEART, the initiative brings together international partners to innovate healthcare training—bridging technology and humanity to shape more compassionate future professionals.
